Finding out that you or someone you are close to has a life-limiting illness or has sadly died can have a huge impact on your emotional wellbeing. Talking to someone can help.

At Lewis-Manning Hospice Care our Bereavement and Family Support team are here to offer emotional support to patients and their families. We are here to help you from diagnosis of a life limiting illness, through to end of life, and following a bereavement.

If you are struggling to come to terms with your diagnosis or someone dying, Lewis-Manning is here to provide a listening ear to you and your family. Our team are here to help family members individually or together and are able to work with all age groups.

When will these sessions take place?

Once contact and an initial assessment has been made, regular sessions will be offered and arranged.

Will I be charged for this service?

There is no cost to the patient to attend our day hospice but we encourage people to donate however much they can, so that we can keep offering our extraordinary palliative care. As a registered charity, we rely heavily on the local community’s help, support and donations to keep Lewis-Manning Hospice Care running as we only receive 20% funding from the NHS.
