Jo joins Lewis-Manning Hospice Care as Director of Clinical Services

Jo Whale has joined Lewis-Manning Hospice Care as the new Director of Clinical Services, taking over from Ruth Burnhill who is retiring after a fantastic career in the hospice sector.

Jo brings much breadth and depth to her role with a much- varied background; having worked in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, moving into the health care sector in 2009 and subsequently working on transformation and improvement work with health care organisations throughout the UK, seeking to improve patient pathways.

Jo advised, “I am really looking forward to meeting and exceeding the needs of our patients at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care and continuing to develop and improve the services that we offer across the communities of East Dorset and Purbeck.”

Clare Gallie, CEO said, “We are delighted to welcome Jo on board. She joins us at a particularly important time in the growth of our ‘Closer to Home’ strategy. Due to the current climate, we are planning ways to deliver clinical help and support that embrace this changing environment in hospice care, which is pioneering, innovative and what matters to our vulnerable patients. Jo has the wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to drive the clinical strategy forwards with her team. Ruth has done a fantastic job as Director of Clinical Services and we wish her a very happy retirement and look forward to Jo building upon the solid foundations that Ruth and her wonderful team have built for those that we are here to care for.”
