Would you like to make a real difference and take up the opportunity to join an established, successful and supportive team?

We are looking for a staff nurse with an interest in palliative care to take forward our nursing services and develop their learning in digital interventions to assist patients.

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care nurses are able to ‘take time to care’ and really connect with the patients that they support.

Who are we and what do we do?

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is an independent charity that offers holistic care to local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. We deliver a range of services to help and support both patients and their carers including our Day Hospices, Virtual Hospice, Family Support and Bereavement service, Lymphoedema clinics for cancer patients, Better Breathing clinics, Complimentary Therapy and Physiotherapy.

Having listened what matters to our patients, the next exciting stage of development for our already successful virtual services will look to expand the use of technology to deliver even more patient centric care.

Experience

We are looking for a registered nurse with at leave two years experience, ideally with some knowledge of oncology or palliative care, who also has a passion for making patient’s lives better and an interest in developing both face to face at home and virtual patient support. Your work will make a difference to those patients who cannot easily access in house hospice services and could otherwise miss out on being able to access regular support and care.

Experience of high quality clinical care, working in multi-disciplinary teams and good governance awareness is important, as is excellent interpersonal and communication skills and well-developed assessment and decision-making ability.

Development of IT skills will be provided through our significant training and development budget.
