Lewis-Manning Hospice Care Scholarship

If you are about to enter your final year studying Adult Nursing at Bournemouth University and have an interest in and commitment to end of life and palliative care, then please click here.

This scholarship could be the perfect award to recognise your dedication, provide you with some additional support during your time as a BU student to expand your knowledge and skills in this specialist aspect of nursing practice, while offering professional development opportunities for your future adult nursing career.

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is a charity, helping people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across East Dorset and the Purbecks. They promote acceptance, hope and peace of mind, helping people live well through their illness. Lewis-Manning Hospice Care offers a range of important services, including day hospice, lymphoedema and better breathing respiratory clinics, bereavement and family support, which are run by their expert clinical team. Their aim is to help as many local people as possible, who are dealing with a life limiting illness, to live their lives well. This is done through improving symptoms and reaching individual goals all to support them in coping and managing their diagnosis.

The scholarship opportunity will run alongside the BU Adult Nursing programme, providing additional professional development opportunities to students with a particular interest in developing their knowledge, skills and practice of end of life and palliative care and the care of those with life-limiting illness.
