The Lymphoedema Clinic at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care provides treatment and support to people who are dealing with Lymphoedema, which is a condition that causes swelling in the body’s tissues. It can affect any part of the body, but typically occurs in the arms or legs. We provide treatment in Poole and Bournemouth.

What can I expect at my appointment?

A friendly welcome and ongoing support in comfortable surroundings.
We can offer advice and treatments and to encourage self-care focusing on skin care, exercise and simple drainage techniques as needed.

Who can come & how do I get referred?

You will need to be registered with a GP surgery and/or live in the Bournemouth, Christchurch or West Hampshire area.

You will need to have been diagnosed with swelling due to cancer and/or its treatments.

You can be referred by any health professional directly linked to your care.

Will I be charged for this service?

There is no cost to the patient to attend our Lymphoedema Clinic but we encourage people to donate however much they can, so that we can keep offering our extraordinary palliative care. As a registered charity, we rely heavily on the local community’s help, support and donations to keep Lewis-Manning Hospice Care running as we only receive 21% funding from the NHS.
