Lymphoedema Clinic
What can I expect at my appointment?
Taught techniques to reduce swelling and management of the excessive fluid caused by Lymphoedema, this can be through compression garments, skincare, specific massage skills, moving and exercising regularly and having a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Who can come & how do I get referred?
You will need to be registered with a GP surgery within East Dorset and have been diagnosed with Lymphoedema which has been caused by cancer and/or its treatment.
You can be referred to the Lymphoedema Clinic by any health care professional directly linked to your care.
Clinic opening times : Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Will I be charged for this service?
There is no cost to the patient to attend our Lymphoedema Clinic but we encourage people to donate however much they can, so that we can keep offering our extraordinary palliative care. As a registered charity, we rely heavily on the local community’s help, support and donations to keep Lewis-Manning Hospice Care running as we only receive 20% funding from the NHS.
