Senior Management team

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care has over 25 members of dedicated and enthusiastic staff within the organisation. The Executive team is accountable for the operational management of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, and is made up of people with unparalleled expertise within each sector of the charity.

Clare Gallie

Chief Executive Officer

Clare has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, but always wanted to be part of an organisation that reflects her values. At 24, she joined Macmillian Cancer Support as Regional Manager. Progressing quickly to become Head of Fundraising at Cancer Research, then Head of UK Fundraising for CLIC Sargent, after 9 years Clare moved onto Directorial roles, before becoming CEO of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.

Tom Goodinge

Director of Fundraising

Tom’s career started in the commercial world, as Business Development Manager for Vodafone. After 6 years he moved into the charity sector at St Margaret’s Hospice Care as their Supporter Development Manager and was promoted to Head of Supporter Care and Individual Giving, before joining Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.

Katie Hewitt

Director of Finance & Operations

With a background spanning three decades in the Financial Services sector, Katie has worked at Liverpool Victoria and Quilter and has a wide breadth of experience across Finance, IT and Management Information.

Susan Newcombe

Director of Retail

Susan has board level experience as an Executive and Non-Executive Director in both the private and third sector. She has worked in the third sector specialising in health care, initially for child and adult cancer charities and later in palliative care for hospices. Susan is a qualified PRINCE2® Project Manager and MInstF with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. 

Hayley Bonner

Director of Clinical Services

Hayley is an experienced senior nurse with 19 years of clinical and leadership experience. She has worked in a variety of settings including Emergency and urgent care, Surgical and Primary Care. Hayley has a strong passion for service redesign and development of new services.
