Your Hospice, in Your Community

Finding out that you or someone you are close to has been impacted by a life-limiting illness can have a huge impact on your emotional wellbeing. Talking to someone can help.

At Lewis-Manning Hospice Care our Counselling team are here to offer emotional support to patients and their families. We are here to help you from diagnosis of a life limiting illness, through to end of life, and following a bereavement.

Patient Counselling

We are here to support people at any point in their journey with life-limiting illness. Whether you have just received a diagnosis, your symptoms are changing or you are progressing, we are here for you.

We can offer counselling alongside our Palliative Care Services to support you by simply just listening or by empowering you with new coping strategies.

Please note you must be referred by a healthcare professional to access this service.

Family Bereavement Counselling

We are also here to offer emotional support to anyone who is struggling following a death in the past 3 years. You can expect an authentic listening ear, full acceptance, no judgement. We will offer you guidance, support, and signposting if required. We can support you for up to 12 months following a bereavement.

You can refer yourself or a loved one to access this service.

Will I be charged for this service?

There is no cost to the patient to use our Counselling but we encourage people to donate however much they can, so that we can keep offering our extraordinary care. As a registered charity, we only receive 12% funding from the NHS and therefore rely heavily on the local community’s help.

We could not exist without your support.
