Palliative Care Services
We are here for you at every step of your journey.
Our multi-disciplinary approach means that every patient gets the support they need.
Our Palliative Services include:
Introduction to Palliative Care
We are here to offer you support from the beginning of your journey with life-limiting illnesses. From the point of diagnosis, we can help you live with your illness, rather than feel defined by it.
We can offer appointments in clinic to meet our healthcare professionals so you can ask any questions you may have and see what support is available to you.
Hospice Health and Wellbeing Programme
Our 12-week Health and Wellbeing programme is designed to empower and inspire people with a life-limiting illness. Our sessions will support you to live a better life independently through several holistic treatments such as symptom management, occupational therapy, creative arts and complementary therapies.
We listen to what matters to you, and our multi-disciplinary approach will support you through the programme and beyond. We are proud to offer activities and sessions focusing on different elements of physical and mental health. The programme will equip you with the tools to take control of your body, mind, and life.
The end of every programme offers a chance to come together connect with peers, reflect on learnings and celebrate progress.
Following the Health and Wellbeing Programme, we offer Virtual Care Sessions, where patients can stay connected and continue building strength, confidence and independence throughout their lives.
Anticipatory Hospice at Home Care
Traditionally healthcare providers involved in palliative care focus their support and treatment on patients’ ‘end of life’ stage of their journey.Â
However, Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is different.Â
We can spend quality time with you and your loved ones at the beginning of your journey, at point of a palliative diagnosis and throughout, providing support at every step. Anticipatory care improves care at end of life, could mitigate hospital admissions and empower people to live better lives at home.
We have various healthcare professionals working at Lewis-Manning with close links to GPs, district nurses, community matrons, and specialist palliative care teams. This enables us to help signpost you and support you to other services should you need us to.
Our team are experienced in supporting patients with palliative and life limiting conditions and associated problems that this can bring.

Will I be charged for this service?
There is no cost to the patient to use our Palliative Care Services but we encourage people to donate however much they can, so that we can keep offering our extraordinary care. As a registered charity, we only receive 12% funding from the NHS and therefore rely heavily on the local community’s help.
We could not exist without your support.
