Heidi Stearn has joined Lewis-Manning Hospice Care as Area Fundraiser for Purbeck.

Born and bred in Purbeck, her family continues to live here, running a 3rd generation family beef cattle farm, with the brand, ‘Little Red Tractor’.

Heidi is a well-known member of her local community, having formerly worked as a hairdresser, for many years, in Wareham. Heidi also has a wealth of experience within the charity sector, having previously worked for Age UK as a charity shop manager for over 4 years.

Commenting on her new position Heidi said, “It is so satisfying to now be working for my local community hospice charity. I’m very grateful for the overwhelming support that I’ve been shown so far, with so many people wanting to get behind me and the hospice.

“I originally joined Lewis-Manning  as Retail Manager at the hospice’s new Swanage Retail shop on the High Street, which opened back in July 2022.  The shop has been an amazing success and has created some incredible support from the local community, donations, volunteers and sales, it’s been great for hospice awareness.

“In my new role I’m looking forward to continuing to raise awareness and bringing on board lots of local community groups and organisations across the area as well as encouraging new volunteers to get involved with our charity.

“It’s been brilliant to open our new office hub in Swanage and are keen to  bring regular updates on progress being made here.

“We have a busy schedule of events happening and look forward to our upcoming events such as our annual ‘Candles on the Beach’ which will be even bigger than last year, taking place on October 21st.

“Huge thank you to everyone supporting us so far. Please do get in touch if you would like to get involved E: Heidi.stearn@lewis-manning.org.uk  Tel: 07706326661
