NFU Mutual Bournemouth launches six month community pledge to help Lewis-Manning Hospice care for local families

NFU Mutual Bournemouth has launched a new community partnership with Dorset’s independent hospice charity, Lewis-Manning Hospice Care to help the charity continue delivering vital care and wellbeing services.

From April 1 to September 30, 2026, NFU Mutual Bournemouth will donate £10 from its business pot to the Hospice for every new policy local to Bournemouth that starts during this period. This means each policy purchased becomes more than protection; it becomes a meaningful contribution that helps Lewis-Manning Hospice Care provide free care and support for local people facing life-limiting illness, alongside their families and carers.

For more than three decades, Lewis-Manning has delivered expert, person‑centred support through a wide range of free services to people across Poole, Purbeck, East Dorset, Christchurch and Bournemouth. Its anticipatory approach focuses on early intervention, encouraging patient independence, and enhancing wellbeing. Lewis-Manning focuses on helping people to live well through their illness, not only at the very end of life.

Nicki Cluley, Director of Fundraising at Lewis-Manning, said: “We are incredibly grateful to NFU Mutual Bournemouth for its dedicated support of our charity. Hospice care isn’t just for elderly or end-of-life patients, and we proudly support the diverse population of Dorset. Our youngest patient is just 11 years old. Our team makes a real difference to those living with life-limiting illnesses and their families. From the counselling we may provide to help people come to terms with what’s changing in their lives, to the occupational therapy that may help patients move a little easier, every donation goes a long way.”

John Heather, Senior Agent at NFU Mutual New Forest, Isle of Wight and Bournemouth, added: “We are delighted to support Lewis-Manning Hospice through this initiative. Their compassionate and highly specialised care provides comfort and dignity to so many people in our community. By donating £10 for every new policy with an inception date between 1 April and 30 September 2026, we hope to help Lewis-Manning continue making every moment matter for local families.”

NFU Mutual Bournemouth has long been woven into the fabric of its local communities. With a long‑standing commitment to supporting local causes and charities, the team works closely with families, businesses and organisations across Bournemouth and its surrounding areas.

By championing organisations that make a meaningful difference, NFU Mutual Bournemouth continues to uphold the values that have shaped their presence in the Bournemouth community for many years.
