Hospice at Home

we are here to listen and help with:

• What matters most to you
• Concerns and anxieties
• Increasing understanding about your illness and prognosis
• Your wishes for end-of-life care, including preferred place of care, as well as your views about the levels of intervention and treatments

Hospice at Home means we can bring all of our services to you, in the comfort of your own home or care home, across purbeck and east dorset.

All patients will be assessed individually and directed to the appropriate services offered at Lewis-Manning, including:

• Virtual Services
• Complementary Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Creative art sessions on a 1-1 basis in the home or virtually
• Family support and Bereavement services
• Respite sits
• Social sits
• Befriending services
• Advanced care planning
• Or just simply a chat and a cuppa! Whatever matters most to you.

   

Will I be charged for this service?

There is no cost to the patient to receive Hospice at Home but we encourage people to donate however much they can, so that we can keep offering our extraordinary palliative care. As a registered charity, we rely heavily on the local community’s help, support and donations to keep Lewis-Manning Hospice Care running as we only receive 21% funding from the NHS.
