In their 21st year in business, family-run Pulford Publicity have announced Lewis-Manning Hospice Care as their nominated charity of the year.

Pulford Publicity are a local publishing company that specialise in publication production and printed media. They own five local magazines including Dorset View and Viewpoint.

Janine Pulford said: “The decision to support Lewis-Manning Hospice Care was deeply rooted in our experience of family members being affected by cancer.  We’ve lost my sister Lesley and 14-year-old niece, Maya in recent years.

“In November we attended the ‘Candles on the Beach’ event that Lewis-Manning hosted, which is about reflecting and remembering loved ones. We found the occasion to be so poignant, heartfelt and moving and it was definitely the catalyst for deciding to choose Lewis-Manning as our charity of the year.

“We visited the hospice to find out more about all that they do supporting patients and their families with life limiting illnesses across East Dorset and Purbeck. It was so interesting to gain an understanding of  the different levels of care and support that they offer to so many and we enjoyed learning about their ‘closer to home’ strategy and the development of hubs across the county.

“We’re pleased to be partnering with them, covering their busy schedule of events in each of our magazines and helping to inform our readers about the amazing care that they provide.”

Lewis-Manning’s Corporate Fundraiser, Nicki Cluley added, “It was brilliant to welcome the directors Ben, Janine and Louis along with marketing executive Simon Thornton to the hospice. We’ve got some exciting plans ahead for different ways of collaborating in 2024 and we look forward to sharing them with you in the coming months.”
